About Me

Antonio Fernandes Lopes (or shortened as Antonio Lopes), born 1980 in Heilbronn am Neckar, Germany, started very early with his musical education and career. At the age of five, his father (a passionate accordion player) took him to the music school, where Antonio played in several small orchestras. Besides he also played als leading instrumentalist in a local Portuguese folk group. School became annoying quite fast.Especially because the teacher never understood to meet his pupil’s musical taste. Since then Antonio continued in an self-teaching manner.

Quite early Antonio expanded the accordion activities to the piano by himself. In the age of fifteen, when he got his first 386 personal computer, one of the first things he started to do with it was: music.
Over time he focussed more and more in orchestral and classical composition, discovering more and more the world of film music.
His greatest sources of inspiration besides the grand masters of classical music like Bach, Beethoven, Haydn, Debussy, Mahler or Holst, became modern composers, particularly film composers from the Golden Age like Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams, Elmer Bernstein,Bernhard Hermann, Elliot Goldenthal, Ennio Morricone and many more.
But also contemporary composers like Danny Elfman, John Debney, James Newton-Howard, Marco Werba, Alexandre Desplat, Marco Beltrami, David Arnold, Murray Gold, John Powell and others.

Antonio acquired a Bachelor’s degree in ‚Online Media‘ and he graduated in 'Computer Science in Media‘ with a Master of Science. Since 2007 Antonio also operates his own recording and dubbing studio with great success called LAB SIX sound & media in his birth town. He’s also translator of film scripts (engl. to ger.), dubbing producer and voice artist.
He signs responsible for the German language version of over 50 films (including drama series) and documentaries.
